26. Blundells
From at least 1881 to 1912, Blundells was home to Miss Emma Evans who rented it from Lord Sandys. A spinster living on her own means, she was born in 1835 to Lucy Evans, who ran an inn at The Cross in Worcester, then an over-crowded and poor part of the city. Emma died aged 77 in March 1912 and left £72 to Francis Tomkins of Brimfield Court (a sum worth £4250 now).
